This piece is my musical picture of my native country Sweden. The composition is a mixture between improvisation and premade structures. I want to describe a beautiful country with a long history of struggling in the wild nature of the North. Water has always been important for the Swedish people. The lakes, rivers and the Baltic Sea as well as the West coast seas. In my piece I also want to picture that significant for Sweden is the contrasts between the old and the modern, the farmer’s life vs the urban life.
Recorded in May 2013 in Huarod, Sweden, on a Bechstein grand piano.
